The Challenge
Much of the brand's selling happened through creators running group-buys, which its commerce software had no idea how to handle. Every creator's version of a product became another product, stock stopped adding up, and the warehouse picked and packed from printed lists.
The Solution
Every pack that can be sold is one product, and a creator is a tag on the sale rather than a copy of the catalogue. Shoppers buy through a creator's own link or through the open store, in English, Malay or Chinese, and pay by online banking or card. The warehouse runs on phone scanners: orders are picked in waves, scanned as they are packed, handed over on courier manifests and counted by bin. Sales post to the accounting system with a nightly check that the two agree, and connections to the major marketplaces are built and tested.
What It Does
- One product per real pack
- Creator sales tagged, not duplicated
- Creator link storefront and an open store
- English, Malay and Chinese
- Online banking and card payments
- Wave picking and scan-to-pack
- Courier manifests
- Stock counts by bin on a phone
- Nightly reconciliation with accounting
- Marketplace connections
