Privacy

A formal privacy policy has not been published for Horizon yet. What follows describes what the software does, and should be read as a description rather than an undertaking.

What is stored. Your name, username, email address, a hashed password, and whatever you write, save, clap for or respond to. Passwords are stored only as hashes and cannot be read back.

Sessions. Signing in sets one cookie holding a random session identifier. It carries no personal data and is used for nothing but keeping you signed in.

What is not done. No third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, no sale or sharing of reader data. Nothing on the page calls out to another company’s servers.

What is public. Published stories, your profile, and your responses are visible to anyone. Drafts, reading history and reading lists are not.
